Get Involved :: Action :: Make an Announcement in Class

Ask one or more of your professors for permission to make an announcement in your class about the UC Nuclear Free campaign. You could say something to the effect of:

“Hi my name is Joe. Did you know that the University of California system includes two nuclear weapons labs and that every nuclear weapon in the U.S. stockpile was created in part by a UC employee? Did you know that this year, for the first time ever, UC will have to compete to continue managing these labs. It's true. This is our University and we should have a say in whether or not weapons of mass destruction are part of our mission. There's a campaign called UC Nuclear Free to raise awareness among UC students about this important issue. For more information and to sign the petition to get UC out of the nuclear weapons business, please come speak with me or check out ucnuclearfree.org. Thank you!”
